There's a monster in my closet

Adding bad dreams to my head.

 

I have tried just ignoring these monsters

And falling asleep instead

But as I doze I hear their voices

Filling my thoughts with dread.

 

My mother says not to worry

My father says not to fret

My brother keeps telling me stories

My imagination just won't forget.
